How much does it cost to participate in the 50 Over 50 Portrait Experience?

The participation fee is $299. The fee not only holds your date and allows us to book the hair and makeup artist for your shoot, it also covers the consultation, photoshoot, one gorgeous matted print of your choice, and being featured in the 50 Over 50 Portrait Exhibition.

What does the $299 include?

  • CONSULTATION - to discuss your vision for how you want to be photographed and coach you on what to wear/styling

  • HAIR & MAKEUP - A professional makeover on your photoshoot date

  • PHOTOSHOOT - A 1.5 - 2 hour photoshoot with Geoff

  • REVEAL & ORDER SESSION - An in-person session in our studio to look at the 20-30 images we have created for you. At this session, you can choose the one complimentary image in your $299 package, and place your order for more images. A la carte portraits are $250, and my collections of six or more start at $1295. The more photographs you purchase, the more you save.

  • PORTRAIT CELEBRATION + EXHIBITION - Upon completion of the project, there will be a celebration and exhibition to showcase the portraits of all 50 women. Your photograph will be included in this event.

  • VIP FACEBOOK GROUP - Be a part of a community of women all participating in this project. Share your experience and cheer each other on.

  • FEATURED ON OUR SOCIAL MEDIA - Your images and story will be featured on our social media, including possibly YouTube.

What if I want more than one photograph?

Absolutely! When you see the 20-30 stunning images we have created for you, you'll mostly likely want them all! Extra photographs (including the digital and 5x7 print on 8x10 mat) are $250 each, but the more you buy, the more you save. You can save by purchasing collections. The more you buy, the cost goes down. Our packages with 6 images start at $1295 + tax and go up from there. We do take credit cards and offer payment plans as well.

Where does the shoot take place?

My portrait studio is in Alpharetta, Georgia, not far from The Avalon.

What days do you have available for this shoot?

We have appointments available for shoots during weekday mornings and afternoons, by appointment. Availability is first come, first served. On your phone call with Geoff, he will share next available dates and make sure to find an opening that works for you.

Can you tell me about the portrait exhibition and celebration?

One of the most exciting parts of this project is to celebrate all 50 of our participants and share your images and stories with the community. There will also be a final celebration featuring all 50 women's portraits on display once this project is complete. Our venue will be announced as we get closer.

Why are you passionate about the 50 Women Over 50 project?

The 50 Women Over 50 Portrait Experience is a way for me to celebrate this group of women and to help them see themselves as the powerful and beautiful women that they are. The significant contributions that they have made to their families and communities can seem to fade with time. I want to be able to highlight their wonderful lives to show them that what they have done has been important to so many people around them..

I'm not photogenic! Is that okay?

"Photogenic" is not something you are...or not! It's my job as the photographer to make you look and feel amazing. I am a trained to make people of all ages, shapes, and sizes look amazing in photographs.

What will I wear?

You can wear up to 4 different outfits in your photoshoot. You can wear formal clothes, or you can be casual in jeans and a black or white shirt. You can wear a sun dress. You can wear a fancy cocktail dress or jumpsuit. You can wear yoga clothes. There are no rules. This is up to you! We want to photograph you based on your unique vision.

What if I'd like to include my children, spouse, pet, or family?

Certainly! You can definitely include loved ones in your shoot! Extra hair and makeup is $150 per person (if needed). Part of your story is the people (and furry pets) you love. So if you want to include your loved ones, the more the merrier. And you also have total permission to make this photoshoot just about YOU!

Can I refer a friend to also be a part of the 50 Over 50 project?

Yes! We would love to also have your friends be a part of this project! Please spread the word.

What if I booked my date and paid $299 and then have to reschedule?

We totally understand that life happens! We book our hair & makeup artist's time to be at your photoshoot. Therefore, you are allowed one reschedule more than 7 days out from the shoot at no charge. If we have less than 7 days notice (or this is the second time you need to reschedule) we do charge a $100 rescheduling fee.
